Editorial policy
Editorial standards
Our work is designed to help homeowners understand evidence, limitations, and reasonable next steps without overstating what a web page can establish.
Evidence and scope
Each guide identifies the question it answers and distinguishes observation from inference. We use authoritative sources where they materially support a decision, date information that can change, and explain important safety, jurisdictional, and property-specific limitations.
Claims we avoid
We do not promise insurance coverage, claim outcomes, exact costs, contractor availability, remaining roof life, or that a particular condition can be diagnosed remotely. We do not claim first-hand testing, inspections, credentials, or professional review unless they actually occurred and are described.
Commercial independence
Referral, affiliate, advertising, sponsorship, and guest-post relationships are disclosed. Payment does not guarantee favorable coverage or permanent publication. Paid links are marked for search engines where required.
Corrections and updates
We update material that becomes incomplete or inaccurate and display modification dates where the publishing system supports them. To flag a substantive issue, email [email protected] with the page, statement, and supporting evidence.
